Dear Festival Fans

Saltaire Community Festival is a small local charity that organises an annual Festival in September each year. You can find out more about us from our website.

The organisers are all volunteers, and the festival itself relies on volunteers. We wish to recruit new volunteers to help with the 2024 Festival (the 21st) to be held in mid-September – and with World Heritage Day on 27 April.

Volunteer roles include helping with planning the festival over a period of months to helping on the day during the festival / World Heritage Day itself. Volunteering with Saltaire Community Festival can be rewarding as volunteers often acquire new skills, enhance their CVs, make new friends and gain satisfaction from being part of a community event enjoyed by thousands of residents and visitors.

We provide training for some roles. Whilst we don’t pay volunteers, expenses (such as travel) are reimbursed – and we provide vouchers that can be exchanged for food from the Festival vendors.

We will be holding an information meeting on Saturday 6 April at the Dandelion Cafe, Holding Space, John Street BD18 3HU at 1100. Please come along if you would like to learn more about the opportunities for volunteering at Saltaire Festival (and with other organisations who are also looking for volunteers). Refreshments (teas and coffees) will be provided.

Please contact us at info@saltairefestival.co.uk if you have any questions or are interested but can’t attend the meeting.
Best wishes
Saltaire Community Festival
